Ian's Ravensbourne Blog: Fashion and Textiles Rotation Day 2

Fashion and Textiles Rotation Day 2

On the second day of the Fashion and Textiles Pathway we had to bring in images of full body models and then cut and paste different textured paper over the full body of the photo to create different styles relating to our previous days work. For example, we played with creating different textures throughout the day and making different styles.

It was interesting to see what you could come up with when being allowed to whatever you like. I found it very free and enlightening to just be able to do anything but in a way it was hard because you could not really focus on a design because your mind just wonders. In the end I was happy with the designs that I came up with because they relate to the previous days work. I would have done a lot more intricate designs if I had a more direct brief but it did teach me focus and direction.

  1. I really like the different use of colours and textures on each of the models and the fact that you made a miniature paper airplane to carry on your theme from the previous day. Although all very different, they are somewhat harmonious and make a nice collection of designs.
